HostGlobe’s 10,000-square-foot facility is served by two separate high-speed SONET OC-48-capable fiber-optic connections, providing capacity equal to 48 DS-3s. The company utilizes multiple Tier-1 Internet backbone providers (currently DS-3s to GTE/BBNPlanet and UUNET). 

The data center is continuously monitored, and is fitted with waterless fire suppression systems, a back-up generator, and environmental controls to ensure high-quality, uninterrupted service. All servers in the data center are placed on Cabletron switches to ensure that information is transmitted to and from the servers in the most rapid and efficient manner possible.
