NeoSpire, Parent Company of HostGlobe, Formed to
Serve Growing Internet Infrastructure Management Market
DALLAS (March 15, 2001)
Recognizing the market demand for more comprehensive
Internet infrastructure management, two Web veterans have launched a
company to provide corporate customers with advanced Web and
application-managed services. The new company, NeoSpire, offers the
technology infrastructure, management expertise and integrated
partnerships with companies such as BEA and Intel, to provide
complementary value to corporations.
Derek Wilson, Chief Executive Officer and Mitch Gervis,
company President, who previously founded a Dallas-based global Web
hosting company, said NeoSpire will focus on providing outsourced Internet
infrastructure and managed services to larger corporations. Solutions
offered by NeoSpire will enable those businesses to establish and maintain
their Internet presence by providing a customized infrastructure and a
unique variety of application management services. Key services will
include packaged offerings designed around Web developer tools and rapid
configuration, deployment, monitoring and comprehensive management of
complex applications.
Forrester Research estimates that the managed hosting
market will reach near $10 billion by 2004, half of the total hosting
market. According to Gervis, 28 percent of all IT projects are outsourced
currently, and that number is expected to rise to 53 percent by 2003.
“Our services alleviate the costly and time-consuming
task of building network infrastructure and hiring IT personnel,” says
Wilson. “This allows our customers to remain focused on their core
competencies.”
Those customers include Cellular One, ABC Radio, The
Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and Dallas Mayor Ronald T. Kirk. NeoSpire
will focus its initial attention on Texas and operates a modern, in-house
data center in Dallas.
“This is a very strong corporate area,” Wilson
noted. “There are many companies who are in the second generation of
websites who want assistance or want out of the day-to-day website
management altogether.”
Wilson and Gervis have also assembled a world-class
advisory board which includes Roy Bostock, Chairman of the Bcom3 Group;
Mike Krzyzewski, Head Basketball Coach at Duke University; Gary Wilson,
Chairman of Northwest Airlines; Andrew Stern, Chairman of Sunwest
Communications; John Wollman, Senior Vice-President of Alliance
Consulting; Dan Allen, Founder of Executive and Professional Search Inc.
and Andrew Sriubas, Director of Credit Suisse First Boston.
