NeoSpire, Parent Company of HostGlobe, Announces New
Set of Managed Disaster Recovery Solutions
DALLAS (October 28, 2001)
NeoSpire, Inc. announced today a new set of managed
disaster recovery solutions that provide protection for important data and
mission-critical servers from today's increased risks of network
emergencies and unpredictable disasters. NeoSpire's new service offerings
provide effective, affordable, and convenient data and server backup plans
to ensure that valuable data is safe in an off-site, fully-redundant
facility, ready for retrieval twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
"The ever-increasing reliance on internally stored
office data and networked Web server applications, coupled with today's
volatile world of network attacks, natural disasters, and war on terrorism
has made disaster recover an extremely important topic in many board
rooms," said Derek Wilson, co-founder and CEO of NeoSpire.
"NeoSpire's new set of managed disaster recovery
solutions is exactly what companies need to address these issues and sleep
better at night," added Wilson. "By providing comprehensive
services at very reasonable prices, we offer industry-leading solutions to
protect customers, revenue, and what amounts to thousands of hours of
work."
NeoSpire's managed disaster recovery solutions are
designed to replicate a customer's data and, if needed, entire servers in
an environment that allows that data to be accessed at a moment's notice.
A variety of client-specific platform architectures and applications can
be replicated. An integral component of NeoSpire's managed offering is its
network administrators who will work to customize a solution and then
fully support that solution within NeoSpire's state-of-the-art data
center.
NeoSpire's new managed disaster recovery solutions
include:
NeoSpire Server-to-Disk Backup (NSDB):
The NSDB offering provides real-time data backup and recovery. This
solution is designed for data existing on servers and/or PCs. NeoSpire
will configure their hardware and software to "talk" with the
customer's server in order to backup the customer's data on a nightly
basis. In the event of an emergency, and the customer needs to restore
their data, the customer will have two options. They can either provide
their own replacement server and NeoSpire will remotely restore all
customer data to that server, or the customer can ask NeoSpire to procure
a server on the customer's behalf and restore the data prior to
delivering a replica of the old server.
NeoSpire Server-to-Server Backup (NSSB):
The NSSB offering provides real-time, complete server-to-server backup
and recovery. This solution is designed to provide a complete, dedicated
replica of the customer's in-house server including the OS and any
applications. NeoSpire will configure the hardware and software to
"talk" with the customer's server in order to backup the
customer's entire server on a nightly basis. If an emergency arises and
the customer needs their backup server, NeoSpire will express deliver the
new server so the customer can be up and running with minimal downtime.
