NEOSPIRE APPLAUDS COACH K’S DECISION TO CONTINUE COACHING AT DUKE
DALLAS (July 6, 2004)
NeoSpire, Inc., which was established by two Duke University Graduates, Derek Wilson and Mitch Gervis, applauded Coach K’s decision to stay as the Head Coach of the Duke men’s basketball team. Mike, “Coach K,” Krzyzewski, one of the original Advisory Board Members of NeoSpire, Inc., recently decided to stay as the Head Basketball coach at Duke University after turning down a very lucrative position as the Head Coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.
“Coach K’s decision exemplifies focusing on your proven strengths and not letting large distractions get in your way towards the long term goal of simply winning. When we put our original Board of Advisors together in 1999, we worked on getting proven leaders whose characteristics made them consistently successful in their respective fields. We put together a team whose traits we wanted to weave within the fabric of our Company.” Said Derek Wilson, Chairman of NeoSpire.
“We strive to bring Coach K’s philosophy of teamwork and excellence to NeoSpire. As he teaches, five individual fingers are not nearly as strong as five fingers working together as a fist. There is a direct correlation to the teamwork you can achieve as a company when everyone works together to get things accomplished” says Mitch Gervis, CEO of NeoSpire.
