TOUGH TIMES IN THE INTERNET ECONOMY? DON'T TELL NEOSPIRE
DALLAS, TX (December 7, 2004)
As the economy has quietly revved up its engines over the past two years, cautious business pundits have warned against aggressive online strategies for fear of another Internet bubble bursting. But the strong growth of managed Web hosting provider NeoSpire proves one thing: the market isn’t listening.
For the third consecutive year, NeoSpire has earned a spot on the coveted Dallas 100 list which is sponsored by SMU’s Cox School of Business, the Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship and the CEO Institute. “Even when the market was stalled out a couple of years ago, we saw our business continue to grow,” said Mitch Gervis, chief executive officer at NeoSpire. “Now that the economy has picked up, we expect to ride that wave to even stronger performance in the future.”
“Now the fly-by-night hosts are gone, as are many of those who were happy to take a client’s money, but did not want to offer good service in return,” he added. “From the beginning, we took a different approach, and it has served us well.”
NeoSpire focuses on providing premium hosting services, including personalized attention and round-the-clock service at its Dallas data center. Most of the company’s clients operate Web sites and Web-based applications that simply cannot go down – period.
“We’re not concerned about another ‘bubble burst,’ because that’s not who our clients are,” Gervis said. “What’s more, we expect the growth to continue, since more and more companies are developing intranets and online applications that drive their businesses. These applications depend on reliable hosting, or their businesses can grind to a halt.”
The Dallas 100 Awards recognize the 100 private companies in the Dallas area with the highest revenue growth. To qualify, companies must have had sales of more than $500,000 but less than $65 million in fiscal year 2001. Plus, they must have a three-year sales history that reflects growth each year, as well as a solid credit report.
